Uses of Type 1 Shelving
E-Z-Rect Type 1 shelving is the original and still the best boltless shelving available. Designed for increased strength and shelf capacity for maximum hand load duty. It can be used in both commercial and industrial applications and allows for better organized inventories while saving valuable floor and shelf space. If you are considering warehouse or pallet racking, consider Type 1 as a strong, adaptable, alternative. Type-1 is not recommended for forklift loading. Type-1 is suitable for manual or mechanically assisted mobile systems providing full use of floor space. Contact our projects department or a distributor for assistance designing your solution.

Seismic Installations
E-Z-Rect recognizes the increased concern for and builds to earthquake standards. Type 1 shelving conforms to AISI Safety Standards with a safety factor of 1.66 to 1 and systems can be engineered to meet local building code requirements. Type 1 is designed to be flexible and adaptable to grow with the changing needs of industry. Type 1 Features
E-Z-Rect Type 1 Shelving increases storage area utilization and reduces time spent on storage and retrieval functions. The boltless design is quick and easy to install without specialized tools or compromising durability or rigid structure or design flexibility. Bays can be added, removed or adjusted, including slope, without impacting the rest of the system, unlike many warehouse racking systems. Type 1 is a fully customizable product and systems can be built to any combination of width, depth and height to customize your storage area to suit specific needs to exacting standards.

There are 4 basic parts to assemble any shelving configuration with a full range of accessories to suit any specific requirement.
Instant adjustment on 2″ centers to desired shelf level. Attractively finished in standard grey electrostatic baking enamel. Special colours are available upon request.
E-Z-Rect’s design allows for full use of shelf width. Therefore, when designing shelving layout allow the following creepage to accommodate the outside frame dimensions.
+/- 1 1/4″ (32mm) for depth of unit
+/- 1 1/2″ (38mm) for length of each frame used in a shelving run.
